Close to great skiing terrain f.i. at Sorbmegaisa, Storhaugen, Reisadalen the alps in Lyngen. 18 km to Olderdalen ferry pier (Connects to Lyngseidet, Lyngen) In September and Oktober you can drive up to the mountain and tundra and see the Northern Lights over f.i. the Goulas Lake. From Birtavarre you can find clear weather in direction towards Alta, or Tromsø, Skibotn and Kilpisjarvi, because the weather can be very different in each place.
