The northern regions of Scandinavia has some of the best roads and terrain for touring as well as hiking, biking and skiing.

Birtavarre is closest to Sabetjohka, the easiest gate to Reisa national park, Gorsa canyon and Gorsabrua (Gorsa bridge), Lake Goulas, Birtavarre mountains, Halti and more.

Birtavarre has many signposted hiking and biking trails, and available maps.
Close to great skiing terrain f.i. at Sorbmegaisa, the fjord and alps in Lyngen, and Reisadalen.

Currently there is no tour operator based in Birtavarre, but there are several operators in the neighbouring valleys. Cars, busses ( also touring in Birtavarre mountain on the summer road ), dog sleds, and even reindeer sledding is possible.

Gorsa – Bridge Canyon Waterfall

Gorza Canyon is northern Europes deepest canyon (App. 150 meters), and a huge 140 meters tall waterfall named Gorzi falls to the bottom of the canyon. A pedestrian bridge spans 53 meters over the canyon and with more than 140 meters over to the canyon river, you will have a fantastic view to the canyon and waterfall, and the landscape itself.
