Job vacancy in North Norway - summer 2024
We are currently hiring for housekeeping, maintenance, reception and kitchen.
Our concept is being a good base for culture and hiking adventures, and hunt for the northern lights or midnight sun. We also accommodate many travelers to North Cape.
We have an affordable and quiet camp with 14 cottages and caravan/tent sites, in fine surroundings along Kåfjord river and E6 in Birtavarre. ( Northern Norway) At the camp is a small evening hour fast food restaurant in connection with common area and reception, and a service building with toilets, dressing room, shower etc. We have several outdoor areas with lavvu, fireplaces, barbecues, cold pit, hot tub and sauna.
We are the nearest camp to Sabetjohka mountain landscape, easiest access to Gorsajuvet and Gorsabrua, Lake Goulas, Halti and mountains in Birtavarre, Reisa National park, and more. ( Summer road up to 800m ). We are also close to villages, fjords and Alps in Great Lyngen and Nordreisa. ( Lyngen, Kåfjord, Storfjord and Nordreisa -municipality . )
We are currently looking for people for:
- Housekeeping and maintenance
- Reception and kitchen. (Min. age 18.)
(Shared responsibilities as kitchen and restaurant manager, receptionist, cleaner, room attendant. )
Working period from june 01 to august 31, daytime and evenings. (Extension is possible.)
June 01 to june 13: Housekeeping and maintenance 1-2 hours a day.
June 14 to august 11: Housekeeping and maintenance 2-4 hours a day. Reception and kitchen 7-7,5 hours a day (15.00-22.00). We prefer one or two people to run the kitchen and reception the whole length of this period but we may also consider other suggestions. Given we have personell we may also offer breakfast during the morning hours. Let us know if you are interested to handle this.
August 12 to august 31: Housekeeping and maintenance 1-2 hours a day. Some reception and kitchen work possible.
Payrate/min. 150 Nok/hour. Rates increase by age and experience. Extra pay in weekends.
Main language is english, but other language skills are appreciated. We also have local customers so ability to pick up words and phrazes in norwegian is also good.
